Ms. Audriana Alvarado, 9th-grade interventionist and English teacher at Harrison High School, was recognized for her impact and leadership in the Latin community earlier this week. Presented by the Colorado Springs City Council, Alvarado received a Certificate of Appreciation for her unmatched dedication and effort within the Springs community.
Alvarado has consistently shown her commitment to the needs of those around her, and advocacy for the Latin community. Her personal connection with her students, co-workers and family have been a driving force to her success not only as a teacher, but community leader as well. “We endeavor to build student leaders who not only impact their high school community, but impact their local community,” says Harrison Assistant Principal Tyler Lawrence, “Ms. Alvarado is the epitome of this endeavor, as she, an alum of Harrison High School is being recognized.”
It is without doubt that the staff and community of Harrison High School are proud of Ms. Alvarado and all of the work that she has done!
